Meet Coach Brendan

I'm Brendan Coughlan, founder of Coughlan Basketball Training. I grew up in Richmond, VA, where basketball quickly became my passion and shaped the path I would take.

After graduating from Glen Allen High School in 2022, I continued my basketball and academic career at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. I played Division III college basketball there and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering.

That journey shaped how I coach. I know what it takes to make varsity, earn a college roster spot, and compete at a high level — and I bring that real, player-tested perspective to every athlete I work with. Whether you're a young player just falling in love with the game or a high schooler chasing the next level, my job is to give you the skills, IQ, and confidence to get there.
